Itworks S.r.l., a software developer and system integration company, based in Ancona (IT), announces the release of its new voice picking solution vo-ce 2.0, an upgrade from their already existing vo-ce 1.3 but with added innovative and complete platform solutions for users working in the logistics and in supply chain management.

vo-ce 2.0 uses the Nuance Vocon 3200 speech recognition engine that delivers improved levels of speaker independent and continuous speech recognition power.

VoCon 3200 flexibility meets the various requirements of different application scenarios and markets. Modules like speaker adaptation, natural language understanding (NLU), spelling post processor, and online grammar compiler for dynamic vocabularies can optionally be deployed on the target platform.

The new version of this software is available also in DLL version for a full integration with WMS with both standard and custom made clients. vo-ce Manager allows you to create new user profile capabilities/interfaces as well as the PC software for the initial configuration and users profile management.

The voice picking solution has been integrated with VoIP, for rapid communication between the operator using the terminal with the voice software and warehouse managers. With the vo-ce solution, no additional middleware is required for voice picking with wireless devices. vo-ce enables Microsoft CE:Net WI-FI devices to be easily and quickly equipped with ASR ( automatic speech recognition) and TTS (text to speech) for direct integration with WMS and ERP solutions.

Vo-ce has been installed in Italy as well as abroad, on more than a thousand working devices, in industrial markets like pharmaceutical, retail fashion, food, and manufacturing. The vo-ce application is typically used for high volume picking, and the simplicity of the software and the training make it easier to adapt the new picking procedures in your warehouse, which will give you the edge over your competition.
