At the end of May Zebra announced that Conad Nord Ovest, a cooperative that covers almost 600 sales locations in Northwest Italy with sales of more than €4 billion, has selected the vo—ce solution running on TC52 mobile computers paired with wireless HS3100 headsets to improve operations at its Montopoli (Pisa) distribution center.

Its previous Windows voice picking solution required its technology provider’s maintenance work to make any system changes to its DC operational processes. The new solution characterized by adaptability and scope for technological growth, composed of vo—ce Android and Zebra’s hardware has reduced the cost of annual license maintenance and service fees by around 50%. Moreover, Conad Nord Ovest experienced a 30% reduction in the number of damaged units as they upgraded from wired to wireless headsets for the voice-directed picking solution.
